What’s new in 1.6.1 Student records now have an inline Edit button next to Delete — change roll number, name, father’s name, class or section without a fresh import. Class and Section columns show real names, not internal IDs.

Installing a plugin

Same three steps for either plugin, whether you install it yourself or hand it to your host/developer.

  1. Upload the plugin

    In wp-admin go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, choose the downloaded .zip, and click Install Now. Alternatively, unzip it and upload the folder to /wp-content/plugins/ via FTP.

  2. Activate it

    From the Plugins screen, click Activate. A one-time setup checklist appears in the wp-admin sidebar under the plugin’s own menu.

  3. Create the front-end pages

    Make a page for each shortcode above (e.g. “Exam Office” → [gkqm_admin_dashboard], “School Office” → [gksm_admin_dashboard]) and add it to your menu. Staff and teachers work from these pages — wp-admin is only needed for the initial setup.
