Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
- Secondary Education Department (Lab Assistant Grade-III):
- Essential Qualification: Senior Secondary (10+2) in Science stream with at least three subjects from the following: Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics.
- Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan’s culture.
- Agriculture Department (Lab Assistant):
- Higher Secondary (10th) or Senior Secondary (12th) with Science from a recognized board.
- Sanskrit Education Department (Lab Assistant):
- Senior Secondary (12th) in Science stream.
- State Forensic Science Laboratory (Lab Assistant):
- Senior Secondary (12th) with Science in Second Division.
- Additionally, a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Applications. OR ‘O’ Level Certificate from NIELIT.
- Public Health Engineering Department (Junior Lab Assistant):
- Senior Secondary (12th) in Science stream.
- Commissionerate College Education Department (Lab Assistant-Geography):
- Senior Secondary (12th) in Science stream.
B. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2027)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
- Age relaxation will be provided to candidates of various categories as per rules.
Age Relaxation:
- General Category Women: 5 Years
- SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS Men (Rajasthan Domicile): 5 Years

Q1. What is the last date to apply for RSSB Lab Assistant Recruitment 2026?

Yes, but note that Lab Assistant (Geography) requires a separate application. For all other (Science) posts, there is one common application where you can choose department preferences.

Q10. What will be the pay scale?
Pay Matrix Level-7 is prescribed for all advertised posts. Fixed remuneration will be paid during the probation period.
Q11. Can I make corrections in the application after submission?
After final submission of the application, editing is not allowed except for some specified entries. Changes in category, disability status etc. entered in OTR cannot be modified.
Q12. Can I withdraw my application?
Yes, the Board may provide an opportunity to withdraw the online application during a specified period before the exam. Notifications will be issued on the Board’s website.
